Our Story
We are a collective of anti-nationalist, anti-Zionist Jewish tech workers. We first formed internally at Google in 2020, in response to the company’s pattern of weaponizing false narratives of Jewish identity to justify systemic harm against Palestinians and other marginalized workers within the company.
In May of 2021, amidst Israel’s siege on Gaza that killed over 250 Palestinians, Google launched Project Nimbus, a 1.2 billion dollar contract providing powerful artificial intelligence and surveillance technology to the Israeli government and military. Project Nimbus will help Israel surveil Palestinians and scale out illegal settlement expansion, amidst other forms of violence.
We knew we needed to act, and we began to team up with workers at Amazon and civil society leaders to demand that Google and Amazon rescind Project Nimbus. Immediately after speaking out about Project Nimbus, our colleague, an anti-Zionist Jewish Google worker, was pushed out of Google.
